Hermia Business Development Ltd is officially commissioned by JAST to build technology transfer platform between Jiangsu and Europe

Hermia Business Development Ltd (HBD) has secured a contract with Jiangsu Association of Science and Technology (JAST) to build an international web platform for highly efficient and timely match-making between Jiangsu and European Technology companies.

Hermia Business Development Ltd (HBD) has secured a contract with Jiangsu Association of Science and Technology (JAST) to build an international web platform for highly efficient and timely match-making between Jiangsu and European technology companies. HBD has established a subsidiary in Wuxi city to operate it, named China-Europe Technology Transfer Incubation Centre.

JAST employs over 1000 technology oriented people operating 30 offices in over 30 cities in Jiangsu, to help companies purchase the right technologies and equipment from overseas. By utilizing this network, HBD can help European companies build commercial platforms, make deals and scale up their business in China from the far Europe in an efficient manner. Using the network, match-making between companies also becomes more efficient.

Funded by JAST, this 3-year project will start in January 2013 and will be operated by the new subsidiary. HBD, JAST and Wuxi Association of Science and Technology (WAST) share the ownership of the platform. This agreement was signed on 19th November 2012.

This platform aims at catering the needs of the growing companies incubated on the European BIC Network (EBN), and matching the needs of the technology profiles on Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). There are about 250 business and innovation centers from different countries on EBN network, serving almost 15 000 client companies.

Integrated with banking services, teleconference tools, presentations of individual company, this platform forms a meeting point for European and Chinese technology companies to negotiate deals, discuss cooperations and form joint-ventures.
